My baby is 7

7!  That's not even right.  It seems like just yesterday you were a baby and I was scared to death!  I still remember being released from the hospital and the whole time I just kept thinking holy shit I am responsible for this little human being and these people are letting me take him home!

Flash forward 7 short years and here we are. You had to give a little presentation last week at school about yourself.  You made a big collage and got your pointer with the plastic finger on the end, stood tall, and starting describing each photo.  At the end you said, "any questions?".  It was as if you had rehearsed, practiced and perfected your speech.  You made mama proud.

Here's this years interview with my amazing little man.  To read last years interview click here.

What is your favorite subject?  Science.
How come?  I don't really have science but I like it when things blow up in science.
What is your best memory from when you were 6?  Going to Legoland
What is your favorite color? Silver
Favorite food?  Zman (from Oklahoma Joe's)
Sport? Basketball and football
TV show: Wizards of Waverly Place
Favorite clothes: shorts and shirt (kid hates pants still...if I let him he would wear shorts during winter).
If you had a free day to do anything what would you want to do? Go to Legoland
Favorite thing to do? build stuff with legos
What do you want to be when you grow up?  An engineer.
Why?  Because you can build whatever you want.
Height: 4'3
Weight: 85  (yes that is correct...you may see me working at your local grocery store soon, judging by his cousins I am completely screwed).
I can't believe how much you've grown over the year.  You can read like nobody's business. You say thank you for the little things, like when I get you a glass of water, or when you fall and scrape your knee and I get you bandaid.  Just a couple nights ago you said "thanks for taking such good care of me today".  And then you said "I should probably tell Grandma that too, she took good care of me today too".  It makes me beyond proud seeing what a big heart you have.  You are my sweet, sweet, boy and I love you more than the moon and stars.

Happy Birthday little man! Mama loves you.

Snow Days

We've been knee deep in snow around here.  We were snowed in for a few days and it was wonderful!   We've eaten a lot of big breakfasts, stayed up late, slept in, watch tons of movies and made lots of messes.   There is still a good foot of snow on the ground that has yet to melt.  Seeing all the fun my kids are having brings back a lot of memories from when I was a kid.  I still love the snow.

I've been M.I.A. a bit and this snowstorm is only a little bit of the reason why.  I've been busy packing!  Yep, we've found a house.  We also may have sold ours...which is pretty exciting because it's been on the market for what seems like forever.  Having a house on the market with little kids is as much fun as poking yourself in the eyeball over and over.   I think we are nearing the end of a pretty stressful time in our lives and we are looking forward to what is about to come.  I can't wait!  xoxo, Amy

Poppin bottles

Happy New Year to you and yours from the Schleicher family.  Put on your red lips and party like it's 1999...or send the kids to the Grandparents and eat a lot of mexican food.  Either way, have fun and be safe!

So thankful

I am thankful today for the wonderful vets I have in my family.  My dad, stepdad, brother, uncle, and grandpa.  I'm also thankful that my aunt posted this pic of my grandpa on facebook....so I could steal it.   So proud.  Thank you to my cousin Shelley's hubby, and all the other veterans out there who served and serve our country.

Blended family

I love waking up to random photos my stepdaughter took on my phone.  Makes my heart swell.  Can't believe this is the same little girl who didn't want a little brother or sister.  Her secret's out.  She loves them just as much as they ADORE and love her.

Here she is holding Jeremy when he was just a baby.  Still a little unsure.
I cannot believe I met her when she was as old as Jeremy is now.  Time flies.  Hug your children.  Pretty soon they will be in highschool and you will cry. Years ago my sister in law used the term blended family.  Love that so much.  All they know, is that this is there sissy.  Period.  End of story.

Reminiscing

I am trying to get my iphoto cleaned up and realize that i may have a problem with taking too many pictures.  Seeing some of these old photos and videos make me a little sad.  My kids are growing up so fast.  I feel like the last 4 1/2 years are kind of a blur.  I found this video of Jeremy, hiding under the stairs trying to take pictures.  I love seeing them when they have no idea anyone is watching them.  I like seeing them in their own environment, doing their own thing.  I could listen to Jeremy's voice over and over.

Finally, Stacey's wedding, might want to grab a tissue.

The Aunt and Uncle, professional gift givers...of fart machines, and really good books.

Jeremy and Izzy, I think she is giving him the brush off.
Sweet baby girl.  I love this child!
I love this picture.  Best Grandma ever.  Jeremy was looking over my shoulder and pointed to her and said "I like her".  I said who, he said "her, Grandma Jones...I like her".  I do too buddy.
The rest of the photos are here
