Thrifty Thursdays

The kids and I went thrifting over the weekend.  We haven't been in a while so it was extra fun.  I picked up a few rolls of vintage wrapping paper and a couple old books.  Check out the illustrations inside, they are so beautiful.  I just couldn't pass them up.  You can barely see them, but I found a couple old protractors as well.  The kids love them.  My dad had tons of them when I was little, what I wouldn't give to have all of his old architectural instruments.  He got rid of them a long time ago.

These grandma pants are to die for.  The inseam is 36" and they are high waisted...and fit like a glove!
This sweater was missing a button, and I didn't realize until I got it home and was sewing on a button that the buttons are in the back!  That makes it even better.
Moo Moo's make me happy.  Especially during the summer.
 A bird batwing sweater
and an 80's dress.

And...the best part?  I got it all for $5.  Yup, $5.

Did you guys pick up anything good over the holiday weekend?  If you did feel free to leave a link in the comments so I can check them out.  I love to see other thrifters finds.

Happy thrifting,

  1. Ugh! Get me to the states... That haul here (in Australia), in a thrift shop would have cost an absolute minimum of $70 and that would be on an awesome bargain day. SO jealous!

  7. You scored BIG!!! I love all of the clothing pieces-especially the grandma pants and the sweater with the missing button. Those two pieces would actually go great TOGETHER! I haven't been thrifting in the last 2 weeks so I am DYING to go this weekend. I can't wait!!

  8. Love the old books with brights pictures. I too search for those from time to time. Sometimes I buy old vintage books with just words to paint in to use as an art journal. Found you from a blog hop and am now following.
