Good morning sunshines

What I learned last week:

Lamb Kofta is delicious.  The whole family ate it with delight and the leftovers were given a warm welcome as well.  I was completely shocked.  I doubled the recipe and might even triple it if I made it again, but only if you want leftovers.  I never buy lamb, but it was on sale so I thought I'd give it try.  I pulled it out of the freezer thinking it was beef.  I didn't even notice until it was thawed out that it was the lamb.  I'm excited to try something different next time and pinned a ton of other Greek recipes.

One of the best radio stations on Pandora is The Flight of the Conchords.  If you are having a crappy day it's like hitting the reset button.  Instant happiness.

I have Egyptian Walking Onions growing everywhere in my garden.  They are pretty good and I'd like to learn how to pickle them for dirty martini's and bloody mary's.

There is something very rewarding about riding your bike for general small errands, like picking up a prescription or biking to the store for a small trip.  I'm making an effort to do this as much as I can.

I say yes too often.  I'm going to have a garage sale this weekend.  Am I crazy?  After my last one I told myself never again.  I let my piles of stuff I want to purge and my neighbors sweet daughter talk me into it.  Regretting it already, but keeping my eye on the prize.

I'm also getting ready for this:
If you are in the Kansas City area come out!

Enjoy your Tuesday loves!

  1. Man, I wish I was closer so I could come see you there. So proud of you, by the way :) I want a bike. Bad. A couple of weeks a go I bought a bike basket when I was in Target. You know, for the bike I don't have :D
