Project Restyle week 3

This started as a plain maternity cardi from the Gap.  I didn't take a before picture.  But I blanket stitched a ton of felt pieces to the shoulders.  I have so many unfinished projects it's nice to have some motivation to get 'em done!

Reminiscing

I am trying to get my iphoto cleaned up and realize that i may have a problem with taking too many pictures.  Seeing some of these old photos and videos make me a little sad.  My kids are growing up so fast.  I feel like the last 4 1/2 years are kind of a blur.  I found this video of Jeremy, hiding under the stairs trying to take pictures.  I love seeing them when they have no idea anyone is watching them.  I like seeing them in their own environment, doing their own thing.  I could listen to Jeremy's voice over and over.

Bad Blooger

Yes I know the title of this post says bad blooger.  You know what i meant to say, but this is actually how i feel.  I am tired and headachey and see a lot of housework and laundry in my future.  Hopefully this second cup of coffee will kick me into gear.  I spent most of this past week stocking my etsy shop.  I still have tons more pictures to take and photos to upload.  I am trying to get things ready to transition into working at home...and all the sickness around the house has made all of us a bit tired and cranky.  I posted of ton of 1970s moo moo's.  It's like the dress up sweatpants...with leggings and a belt...so comfy.

I finally got around to posting some of my vintage slip dresses.  I have a couple really beautiful ones from the 1950's and 60's.

Here are some of the fun things i thrifted the other day that i will be posting on Etsy soon.
I love embroidery bags.  This is a clutch and in perfect condition.  I might have to hang on to this one for a bit.
I've been collecting these old metal lockboxes for a while.  I have a couple that I have covered with paper, but I love this one just as it.
These are my goodies from a lunch trip to my favorite thrift store!  I love the crocheted mittens.

and this old shower cap...love love love...thrifting is one of my favorite things to do.

Project Restyle week 2

Second week.  Started with this chain belt...reminds me of baggy sweaters and well, chain belts.  Some thrifted yarn that my son usually uses as obstacles for his train tracks.  This took way more time than I would have expected, but I am happy with the results.  Had to use glitter on the clasp to it would open and close.                             Party with us.  Linking here!  Be sure and look for Fridays Partays.

Week 1 Project Restyle

This was my before.  I painted my pink and red kitchen white...boring white...we hope to put it on the market come spring so I am trying hard to de-personalize.
Fabric I have had FOREVER that's been sitting in my basement.
The old fitted sheet I used for backing (this counts right?).
So weird having a curtain over this window.  In the 12 years I have lived in my home...there has never been a curtain here.

Now that week one is under wraps...can I really do this?  I am going to make an effort!

Christmas 2011

A girl and her papa.  What's not to love.
